About PepGuide
PepGuide is an independent, research-focused peptide encyclopedia built on peer-reviewed science. No commercial bias, no paywalls — just evidence.
About PepGuide
PepGuide is an independent peptide research encyclopedia. Every article is built on published scientific literature with direct links to primary sources. We have no commercial affiliations, accept no sponsorships, and maintain no relationships with peptide vendors or manufacturers.
Mission
We exist to make peptide research accessible. The scientific literature on peptides is scattered across thousands of journals, locked behind paywalls, and written for specialist audiences. PepGuide consolidates this research into clear, comprehensive profiles that anyone can read — while preserving the rigor and citations that researchers expect.
Our goals:
- Consolidate peer-reviewed peptide research into a single, searchable resource
- Cite everything — every claim links back to its source on PubMed
- Stay independent — no commercial bias, no affiliate links, no vendor relationships
- Update continuously — new research is reviewed and integrated weekly
Editorial Standards
Every peptide profile on PepGuide follows strict editorial standards:
- Peer-reviewed sources only. We cite published research from indexed journals. Conference abstracts, preprints, and manufacturer claims are identified as such when included.
- PubMed-linked citations. Every reference includes a direct link to PubMed (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/) so readers can verify claims and read the original research.
- No fabricated data. We never invent PMIDs, DOIs, study results, or author names. If we cannot verify a claim, we do not include it.
- Balanced reporting. We report both positive and negative findings. Limitations of studies (small sample sizes, animal-only data, single research groups) are noted explicitly.
- Clear distinction between human and animal data. We always specify whether evidence comes from in vitro, animal, or human studies.
Update Cadence
- Weekly research reviews. New publications relevant to covered peptides are reviewed and integrated.
- Monthly new profiles. New peptide profiles are added based on research significance and reader interest.
- Quarterly audits. Existing profiles are reviewed for accuracy, updated citations, and regulatory changes.
All pages display a "Last Updated" date so readers know how current the information is.
What We Are Not
- Not medical advice. PepGuide is an educational resource for researchers, students, and informed readers. Nothing on this site constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
- Not a vendor. We do not sell peptides, supplements, or any products. We do not link to vendors or accept affiliate commissions.
- Not a dosing guide. While we report dosing protocols used in published research, these are for informational context only.
Corrections Policy
We take accuracy seriously. If you find an error — a wrong PMID, a misrepresented study finding, an outdated claim — we want to know.
To submit a correction:
- Identify the specific page and claim
- Provide the correct information with a supporting PubMed link
- Contact us at [email protected]
All corrections are reviewed within 48 hours. Verified corrections are applied immediately, and the page's "Last Updated" date is refreshed.
